The team from the Consolidated Unit for Implementation and Monitoring of Energy Projects (UCIPE) held an online working meeting with representatives from the Ministry of Energy and KfW Development Bank.
The purpose of the discussions was to present the Energy Efficiency Project in the Republic of Moldova, implemented by UCIPE, as well as to identify financing possibilities and instruments for similar energy efficiency projects in public buildings across the Republic of Moldova.
In this context, the parties emphasized the importance of developing energy efficiency projects and supporting public utility institutions in Moldova, agreeing to launch a platform for ongoing discussions on this topic.
The “Energy Efficiency in the Republic of Moldova” project is one of the largest and most important national energy efficiency initiatives, aiming at the energy rehabilitation of public institution buildings in the country. The project is funded by the European Union, the European Investment Bank (EIB), the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), and the Government of the Republic of Moldova.
